Dupree Lakes is a deed-restricted community in Land O Lakes, FL. The community comprises over 600 homes, ranging from just under 1,200 sq ft to executive-style homes well over 4,000 sq ft. Amenities include lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, a soccer field, a playground, and a pool with a kiddie splash zone and cabanas.

The land where Dupree Lakes is located was originally part of Dupree Gardens. Called the “Blossom Center of Florida”, the 900-acre estate featured 25 acres of interlacing garden trails. During the 1940s, Dupree Gardens was open to the public and attracted visitors nationwide. While Dupree Gardens has long since closed, the original sign still sits along Ehren Cutoff.

Dupree Lakes was built between 2005 and 2014 and is divided into nine neighborhoods. There are ponds and conservation throughout the community, which attract a wide variety of wildlife. It’s not unexpected to see sandhill cranes, hawks, owls, deer, bunnies, and tortoises. In addition, residents have even reported seeing wild turkeys and the occasional bobcat. The community has a low HOA fee and a CDD fee to care for the ponds and community areas

Land O Lakes includes many highly rated schools. Nearby schools include Countryside Montessori Charter, Sanders Memorial Elementary, Pine View Elementary, Pine View Middle, and Land O Lakes High School.

Dupree Lakes is located twenty miles north of Tampa. While it is away from bustling city life, there is easy access to shopping and restaurants. Tampa International Airport is 30 minutes away, and the beaches are about an hour away.
