Ballantrae

Ballantrae is a master-planned community in Land O’ Lakes, FL, on SR 54, about one mile east of the Suncoast Parkway. The community covers 436 acres and includes 37 ponds and lakes, wetlands, and conservation areas. The homes in Ballantrae consist of both single-family houses and townhomes.

At the front of the community is Straiton, which includes nearly 200 townhomes built between 2005 and 2006. Built between 2005 and 2009, Ballantrae includes nearly 800 houses ranging from just over 1200 sq ft to almost 4000 sq ft. These are located further inside the neighborhood, just past Straiton. With abundant ponds and conservation, many houses enjoy pond or conservation views. There are also paved sidewalks throughout the community.

The Ballantrae CDD maintains the community’s lakes, ponds, and amenities. Residents also pay an HOA fee, which varies depending on whether they live in Straiton Townhomes or single-family homes.

Ballantrae is zoned for highly rated schools. The area schools are Bexley Elementary, Charles S. Rushe Middle, and Sunlake High School.

Ballantrae is located about 20 miles north of Tampa. This proximity to Tampa allows for a short 25-minute drive to Tampa International Airport and just under an hour to the beaches.
